Skoda has released new official images of the Epiq, a compact electric SUV that will arrive in the European market in 2026 as one of the brand’s most affordable models in the electric vehicle segment.

According to a report by Car Magazine, the model will use the MEB+ platform, developed by the Volkswagen Group for compact front-wheel-drive electric cars.

The Epiq will be offered with two battery options. The entry-level version will use a smaller pack aimed at urban use, while the more advanced configuration will have a larger battery and a range of more than 400 kilometres on the WLTP cycle.

A single electric motor in each version will send power to the front wheels, with 114 or 135 horsepower in the smaller-battery version and 211 horsepower in the more powerful configuration.

Skoda has not yet released full technical performance details for the Epiq, but the top speed is around 150 km/h in the version with the smaller battery and approximately 159 km/h in the variant with the larger battery.

The exterior design follows the brand’s new “Modern Solid” identity, with a more upright front end, split lighting and straighter lines, while the interior adopts a minimalist approach, with few physical buttons and generous interior space despite its compact dimensions.

Skoda said the boot will have a capacity of approximately 490 litres, a figure considered high for the segment. The manufacturer also promises features focused on everyday use, including several internal storage compartments and “Simply Clever” solutions, Skoda’s trademark for practical items.

The Epiq will be produced in Spain alongside other compact electric models from the Volkswagen Group, including future equivalent models from Volkswagen and Cupra. According to Car Magazine, the SUV is expected to have a starting price of around 25,000 euros in Europe, making it one of Skoda’s cheapest electric vehicles when it reaches the market in 2026.
